Learning English , watching Michael Jordan
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIyXMLcrztA
This is Michael Jordan's video . I watched this for the first time when I was a jounior high school student , and , at that time , I couldn't understand the English , but now I can understand almost everything , and that is amazing .
I think this video is very good for you English . Every people in this video speak very clear ( usually American speak more ambiguously ) , and , you can feel the " real " English .
For example , people living in the north america use " you know " a lot . Some player in this video said , like ,
He flies , you know , uh ...he plays above the rim .He makes , you know , some move seems , like , you know , you guys are a high school or some, you know ,
" you know " is popular and pretty useful . That is pretty similar to " eh " ( usually , Canadian prefer using it , but , some American or some English also use it ) , but , " eh " basically means " confirmation " , and , " you know " basically means " what you know " . And these words are so informal that you're not suppose to use them in the formal situation , like , in the job interview or so .
Anyway , in my opinion , enjoying studying English is the best way to improve your English , so , considering " how you can enjoy learing English " is what I wanna recommend you . Watching CNN or reading some text should be good , but , that might be so boring , eh ? So , you have to find something you can enjoy if you wanna have a good English .
